Complications after pneumonectomy are most common with pulmonary complications, including pneumonia, acute lung injury (ALI), and acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), which are the leading causes of death. Fluid therapy is an important component of perioperative treatment, with the goal of maintaining electrolyte balance and correcting fluid imbalances and abnormal distribution. In recent years, studies have confirmed that infusion rate and infusion volume are related to ALI after pneumonectomy, and restrictive fluid therapy may lead to acute kidney injury (AKI). At present, the goal-oriented liquid therapy is a new concept of perioperative fluid therapy, which is of great significance for reducing pulmonary complications after pneumonectomy. This article compares the relationship between ALI and perioperative fluid therapy, the relationship between ALI pathogenesis and perioperative fluid therapy, the relationship between AKI and perioperative fluid therapy, and the goal-directed fluid therapy after pneumonectomy. Review, in order to provide a reference for clinical treatment.
